people don't put their hands in their pockets.  i mean like...causually.  like when you are walking and what not....you know how you walk with your hands in your pant pockets?  well, they don't do that.  ever!  i've never seen anyone in barcelona do it.  crazy huh.

things you didn't know about barcelona #4

people don't really smile that much.  I'm from the west coast so I'm always walking around smiling at people and giving them the wonderful courtousey nod that makes the NW so wonderful.  what do they do?  stare at me.  no good....they just stare.  they almost never smile...for anything.  forget the courteousy (gosh...how do you spell that word!)  smile, they don't even have a good time just walking around.  I guess thats how they rock it here in B-Town

homeless is sophisticated.  its rare to find a drunken, stumbling, babbling homeless person walking around....in fact...I only saw it once....and he was fighting with a tourist.  but seriously.  they are always out reading the paper, carting their things around, dressed fairly nicely.  its crazy.  welcome to barcelona

wireless....Mu Ha Ha Ha ha ha

so there is this college (elementary school) near by that has this awesome wireless network "Jazztell wireless."  our flat sits right above it on the hill and every so often...if my computer is facing the right direction and if I hold my arm out to the left, I'll get a spotty wireless signal.  well, thats just not good enough.  thats why I headed to the wonderful computer super store today, which has nintendo Wii consoles in the plenty (darnitt), and got this nifty antenna pictured above.  with it...I receiving and wonderfully strong signal and can write this blog to boot.  thank you technology.
